Whoah...pick axes and crow bars. I thought it was bad a couple of years ago when some monks went at it using folding chairs at a site in Jerusalem.

I must admit, whenI rasd the storey my first reaction was a snorf of amusement--

If we decry the lukewarm devotions to the truth we find in amny western churches, we may find ourselves in the position of rendering these passionate defenders of (their ideas of) traditional Christianity a kind of backhanded respect!

Imagine it in another context: Mother Angelica administers a good old fashioned spanking to Sr. Chittister, or Bp. Fabian B. (I can't spell his last name) were to give Cdl. Mahoney a good swift kick!

It looks different somehow, then!

Yah know... I'd PAY to see Mother Angelica and Archbishop Bruskewitz open up a can of whoop*** on those two.

I know, I know... I'll be heading off to confession on Friday for that.

"Quick, Altar-Boy, to the PopeMobile! or, what Benedict does when he's posi-lutely SURE no-one's looking!" (we all have dreams)
Or is this one of the Battling Bishops? (not sure of the college with this team?) Make me look at a chess set with new eyes, that's for sure.
Monks fighting monks...too bad this wasn't an episode of KungFu, hee hee

Folding chairs sounds more like "professional wrestling", but things are getting real bad when it is pickaxes.
