BOB FARRELL INSPIRED THIS CHOICE

The composer was Benny Bell (March 21, 1906 to July 6, 1999), a Jewish singer-songwriter of the 1940s.

He was born Ben Samberg in New York City. He decided to pursue a career in the music business, although his father had wanted him to be a rabbi. He enjoyed writing risqué lyrics, and during the 1940s his songs appeared in juke boxes in cocktail bars.

His first successful song was "Take A Ship For Yourself." In 1946 he released "Shaving Cream," as sung by Paul Wynn. His music waned until 1975 when "Shaving Cream" began playing again and became a top hit. The song was frequently played on the "Dr. Demento" radio program, and has been covered by the Doctor himself on the album "Dr. Demento's Dementia Royale."

Too much starch, Sister!

It's a veil.
Not an umbrella!
Not a helmet!
It's a veil.

Pope Pius XII unsuccessfully performed a “long distance” exorcism on Hitler

I don’t know how reliable the report is. It’s from a Russian news site. Here is an excerpt from it.

“Stalin, Hitler Were Possessed by Satan,” says Vatican Exorcist

Adolf Hitler and Russian leader Stalin were possessed by the Devil, the Vatican’s chief exorcist claims, the Daily Mail newspaper reports. “You can tell by their behavior and their actions, from the horrors they committed and the atrocities that were committed on their orders,” Father Gabriele Amorth, who is Pope Benedict XVI’s “caster out of demons,” said during an interview with Vatican Radio.

“Of course the Devil exists and he can not only possess a single person but also groups and entire populations. I am convinced that the Nazis were all possessed. All you have to do is think about what Hitler— and Stalin did. Almost certainly they were possessed by the Devil.”

Secret Vatican documents recently released say that wartime pontiff Pope Pius XII attempted a “long distance” exorcism of Hitler which failed to have any effect. “It’s very rare that praying and attempting to carry out an exorcism from distance works. Of course you can pray for someone from a distance but in this case it would not have any effect,” Father Amorth said.

The Vatican’s chief exorcist claims that one of the key requirements for an exorcism is to be present in front of the possessed person and that person also has to be consenting and willing. “Therefore trying to carry out an exorcism on someone who is not present, or consenting and willing would prove very difficult,” he said.

“However I have no doubt that Hitler was possessed and so it does not surprise me that Pope Pius XII tried a long distance exorcism,” he added.
