Ethnically Asian Catholics in the U.S.A.

Only 1% of Catholics in the U.S.A. are of Asian ethnicity.

However, 12% of U.S. seminiary students are ethnically Asian.

28% of priests in the diocese of Orange (Orange County), California are ethnically Asian.

Wonder what percentage of Catholics that attend Mass every Sunday are Asian? I would guess it's quite a bit higher than 1%.

Like anything dealing with Catholics and statistics, it comes down to how one would determine the Catholic identity.

Respect for the Catholic Church and the Priesthood is what the rest of America needs. We respect the almighty $, rap artists, sexy bodies--thankfully God is breathing Hope and life into the Asian community.

The wind blows where it will, no one knows where it comes from or where it goes.
