I certainly share in this sentiment. Why is it that people are giving me funny looks as I continue to go around wishing my friends and associates Happy Easter and proclaiming that Christ is risen? God gave us the gift of the Easter season for a reason.
Nice! Happy Easter Father..
Father,
On Easter Thursday I was talking with one of the Mormon doctors I work with--I told him I was making Easter cookies for my catechism class on Sunday. He said, "duh Tara, Easter was last Sunday." I told him, that the entire first week of Easter was as one day--he didn't believe me at first, and then when he realized I was serious, he thought we were strange. I didn't tell him Easter lasted longer than just one week. Their Easter lasted one day, and they mostly talked about the old Easter bunny, what presents and baskets they had, and the egg hunts (I never once heard them mention Jesus....mmmmm).
The last day of Easter is Pentecost Sunday.
Sorry, but this reminds of the "Are you Sure" commercials! lol. No disrespect intended! Great photos! God Bless!
Easter is just a wonderful time! I can almost sing my heart out everyday until Pentecost. How generous the Lord that he gives us fifty whole days to paaaaartyyy!!!
To all those who think we Catholics spend all our time thinking of the crucifixion and ignore the resurrection I can only say ... we love the resurrection so much we have 50 days to celebrate it.
Happy Easter everybody!
