One monk's garden

outside the backdoor of his cell

I've posted a few other photographs of my monastery.

You should save your pennies for an outdoor water pump.

A little stream separating the rocks from the foliage would complete the picture!

I took the photograph while sitting on the ground. At that angle, one cannot see that there is kind of dry streambed between the rocks and the plants.

We have raccoons, and water attracts them. I don't want them around, because they dig into the plantings looking for grubs.

I haven't seen them up there yet, but I imagine you keep an eye peeled for "Brother Snake" too.

Well, I guess the snakes keep the rodent population down!
