My work in the monastery and our daily schedule leave me little time to go online. Furthermore, we are still using dial-up.

There are three towers on the northern edge of our property. Retreatants tell us the wireless connection on their laptops works faster when they are at our monastery than anywhere else.

We've already had a group of oblates take up money and offer to pay for us to get set up with satellite. Our abbot turned it down for now.

I think one concern he may have is one that most priest might have. From hearing confessions we know that high speed internet connections mean the viewing of pornography by maybe the majority of men who go to confession.; 5:40 PM
